The company is appreciated for devoting its time, resources and talent in a manner that works towards constant lifestyle improvement.
In less than five years of operating as an independent, global company, the ranking was a major achievement for DPS. Just recently, the company was listed among one of the top one-third companies known for sustainability in the food and beverage sector by Newsweek.
DPS Group was awarded the title due to its philanthropic efforts initiated through ACTION Nation program that works to foster active, sustainable, and engaged communities in all the areas where the company operates. The program reportedly covers four major areas including environmental initiatives, emergency relief services, fit and active lifestyle initiation and hometown community development.
Under each area, the company is taking remarkable efforts to actively engage people. To encourage families to live a healthy and active lifestyle, the company launched its Let’s Play program last year under which the company invested $15 million towards building around 2,000 playgrounds across North America by the end of next year.
The company also invested $1 million in the Annual Disaster Giving Program run by the American Red Cross. The company is one of the flagship partners of the program and was responsible for carrying out relief activities in more than 100 disasters across the nation.
The company is also an active participant in environmental sustainability efforts, investing millions of dollars towards several environmental preservation and restoration projects. Recently, the company has joined hands with The Nature Conservancy under which DPS will invest $1 million towards protecting an important water resource near Texas.
For its employees and local communities, the company runs The United Way campaign under which the company works towards solving local societal issues. This year the company raised a staggering $2.17 million under the program for societal development. The company even pay grants to its employees who volunteer to work for the fundraising due to which, 3,200 volunteer hours were donated this year by its employees.
