The upcoming Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class will ride on the same MFA platform as the B-Class and the recently-launched A-Class. England’s CAR Magazine claims that it will measure approximately 174 inches long, 70 inches wide and 59 inches tall. These dimensions make it longer, narrower and lower than the Audi Q3. The UK’s Car magazine reports that the new model will follow Mercedes’ revised naming system, carrying the GLA name. The GL signifies all future SUV badges starting with a G, and the A for its size.
The new Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class will celebrate world premiere at Geneva Motor Show 2014, with market launch in Europe and USA happening soon after. In entry-level models power will be sent exclusively to the front wheels. More expensive offerings will be available with all-wheel drive.
