Sony is going to unveil its new line up of devices for the year 2013 at CES 2013, which will kick off next week. Although Sony has a scheduled event for the announcement of its new phones it seems like the Japanese company is being too impatient. Ahead of its event the company has revealed two of its upcoming Android devices called the Sony Xperia Z and Xperia ZL on its official site.
Both devices look good as far as looks are concerned. The specifications of these two new smartphones by Sony are unknown at this point of time but rumor has it that they will feature some powerful internals.
Sony C660X is codenamed ‘Yuga’ is expected to be launched as Sony Xperia Z in the market. The second smartphone Sony is going to launch at CES 2013 is codenamed Sony ‘Odin’ or Sony C650X is expected to launch in the market with the name of Xperia ZL.
As far as pricing goes both these devices look impressive. Interestingly both Xperia Z and Xperia ZL are rumored to feature same specifications and only difference between the two devices is said to be their design. According to rumors Xperia Z and Xperia ZL are going to feature a 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 Pro processor along with 2GB of RAM, Adreno 320 graphics, a 13-megapixel Exmor RS camera, front facing camera, and more. Strangely the Xperia Z as you can see in the images above will feature the front facing camera below instead of above where the earpiece is located.
Although specs are same the design difference between these two devices is quite notable. The Xperia Z has a broader case shell than the Xperia ZL.
As far as pricing goes the official details are yet to arrive but industry observers believe that Xperia Z will become available at the price of around $690 in the the market, which is similar to the price of Xperia TX.
