Here Comes The Four Seater Maserati GranTurismo MC

From now, up to four people can hit the race track in the Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale. The Italian manufacturer just announced that the new, four-seater version of the Stradale is soon to be presented at the Geneva Motor Show.

Based on the race-derived, barely street-legal coupe with the same name, the Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale will be just as fast as the original Stradale. It has a track-ready chassis, and the cabin, while stripped down to the bare essentials, was modified in a way that it can accommodate four grown-ups.

Also, the Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale boasts a number of improvements: it has optimized aerodynamics that increases downforce without increasing drag resistance. The bonnet will be made from carbon fiber, which is considerably lighter. There will be a central air intake and two rear extractors, and new forged 20″ alloy rims make the whole car look more aggressive.

Otherwise, the Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale remains the high-performance, race-bred car it always was. It is propelled to a top speed 188 mph by a 4.7 litre, 460 HP aspirated V8 engine we already know from the GranTurismo Sport.

The power is transmitted to the rear wheels through an MC Race Shift 6-speed robotized manual gearbox. The high-tech Brembo carbon ceramic brake discs are especially useful on the race track, where the breaks have to cope with immense loads at extreme temperatures. The suspension will be also closer to race specifications than for normal road use.

Just by watching the pics and the technical specifications of this new supercar it is obvious that the Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale is one of the coolest cars Maserati will have on offer. No wonder the Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale will be the crown jewel of Maserati’s stand at the Geneva Motor Show.
