Take a Look at the Superman-themed Dodge Ram 1500

by

Pictures of a very special Dodge Ram 1500 emerged: the car is a part of a partnership between the Ram Truck brand and Warner Bros. Pictures’ and Legendary Pictures’ “Man of Steel,” the highly anticipated summer action adventure movie in theaters June 14. The dark grey Dodge Ram 1500 appears in a short commercial spot, made of scenes from the movie and footage of the truck.

The ‘Man of Steel’ Dodge Ram 1500 is a one-of-a-kind truck based on the factory model. The mechanics were left untouched, as the Dodge Ram 1500 is surely rugged and powerful enough even for Superman. There is no information about the engine of this truck, but it is more than likely that it will be fitted with the mighty, 395 horsepower 5.7L HEMI V8 engine with a six-speed automatic transmission.

Designers worked long hours to create the “Man of Steel” Power Wagon truck. A Dodge Ram 1500 was painted gray (Dark Ceramic Gray, to be precise), with high-gloss black roof and a grille with red accents and a Superman logo.

The truck comes with forged-aluminum, satin black 17-inch off-road wheels. The interior was also modified: there are Pewter leather seats with custom mesh seat inserts and logos. On the doors, steering column, radio cluster and seats Anodized Red paint trim accents can be seen, and there is a “Man of Steel” logo on the glove box. The touchscreen on the dashboard has a “Man of Steel” backdrop, and the radio is also customized.

The special Dodge Ram 1500 is unlikely to see any Superman-like action itself. It will be displayed at the movie’s premier in New York City, then it will be present different PR events across the country. Finally, it will be sold on auction, its price being donated for charity. Its new owner will probably rarely drive the truck: these special cars are usually bought primarily as an investment, not for off-road fun.
