Lincoln sales are very sluggish in this new market we live in, plus Lincoln has fallen a bit behind in style in the last several years. The 2013 Lincoln is a all new design that does share some similarities with the Ford Fusion like wheel base, but that is where the structural similarities part ways.
The all new 2013 Lincoln MKZ’s striking body lines grab your attention quickly. The swept roof line and wrapping beltline are modern looking and the distinctive split grill give the 2013 Lincoln MKZ a very muscular look that was much needed if customers are to take it seriously.
The interior of the 2013 Lincoln MKZ keeps the same modern look as the exterior. The dash keeps the same sweeping flow into the center stack with smooth lines and clean surfaces. Soo Kang the lead interior designer at Lincoln used the undersea flight of the Manta Ray as her inspiration in the design of the beautiful interior of the 2013 Lincoln MKZ and it shows well.
Lincoln has chosen to use the 2.0 liter EcoBoost turbocharged I-4 to power the standard MKZ. The 240 horsepower is very capable in most driving situations for everyday life. For those individuals that need a bit more pep in their step, Lincoln offers a 300 horsepower 3.7 liter V/6 as an option.
The new 2013 Lincoln MKZ may just prove to be car that Lincoln needs to get customers back in their showrooms. The sexy body lines and cool interior should put the MKZ in the luxury market place once again.
